Usage of Auto Aluminum Will be Increased

According to European metal industry officials, the automobile manufacturer hopes to increase aluminum amount to achieve the purpose of carbon emission reduction. The average usage for lightweight recyclable aluminum made by sinter plant operation per car will rise to 180 kg in European by 2020.

The chairman of European Aluminium Association Gerd Götz said “with the growth usage of cold-rolled aluminum produced by 350 stere blast furnace, the usage of aluminum per car has increased by 180 kg now, the usage of aluminum per car was 140 kg in 2012”.

2015 European Commission mandated that car manufacturers must ensure that the average emissions of CO2 per kilometer can not exceed 130 grams.
Mercedes Benz, Audi, Volkswagen, Peugeot Citroen and other auto companies predicted that the usage of aluminum made by blast furnace for auto doors, engines and other auto parts will be increased in the future.
