Refractory material refers to inorganic nonmetallic materials with the refractoriness of at least 1500 ℃. Refractory materials are widely used in steel, nonferrous metals, glass, cement, ceramics, petrochemical, boilers, light industry, power, military, industry metallurgy, chemical, machinery manufacturing, silicates and etc.. Refractories is the essential basic materials to ensure these industries production operation and technological development for the operation of 350 stere blast furnace. It plays an irreplaceable role in the development of high-temperature industrial production. Refractory material has the largest usage amount in metallurgical industry and it accounts for 50% – 60% of total output. According refractoriness level, refractories can be divided into ordinary refractory materials, advanced refractories and super-refractory used for steel melting furnace.

2011 Chinese refractories production accounts for about 65% of global production and sales of refractories ranked the first among the world refractories used in pig iron furnace.
